Honestly, the earlier the better. October to February dates fill up fast and we only take a few weddings per month. 6 months ahead is safe. 12 months is better.

After we talk and you're happy to move forward, you pay an advance, usually 25 to 40% of the total. That locks your date. Once it's done, we start planning.

Yes. We've shot weddings in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, and a few other places too. For anything outside Madurai, travel and stay costs are added separately. We sort that out during the consultation.

We actually ask for this before confirming anything. In person if you're in Madurai, video call if you're not. Weddings are personal. We'd rather you know who's showing up on your wedding day.

Tell us as soon as you know. If the new date is within 12 months of the original and we're free, we'll move it at no extra cost. One change per booking. Full details are on our Booking and Cancellation page.

Packages start from Rs. 40,000. The final number depends on coverage hours, number of photographers, and whether you want film included. We give you a clear quote after the consultation, not before, because every wedding is different.

No. Whatever we agree on is what you pay. The only things that get added are travel and stay for outstation weddings, extra hours if the event runs longer, and GST. All of this comes up during the consultation, nothing shows up as a surprise later.

No, editing is included. Colour grading, basic retouching, all of it. What you see in our portfolio is what you get.

Yes. Either as a standalone session or added to your wedding package. We usually suggest it because couples who've already been in front of our camera are a lot more relaxed on the wedding day. Pricing is worked out during the consultation.

Between 1 and 3 depending on the package. The lead photographer from IMAIKHA will always be there in person. We don't pass your wedding to someone you haven't met.

Most couples say this, genuinely. The pre-wedding shoot sorts it out. By the time the wedding day comes, you've already spent time with us and the camera stops feeling like a big deal. It just happens naturally.

For family portraits and rituals you don't want missed, yes, a short list helps and we'll ask for one before the event. For candid coverage, that's our job. You don't need to direct us.

Not a problem usually. We carry lighting gear and the cameras we use handle low light well. If the venue has any specific rules, just let us know ahead of time. We'll work around it.

Full edited gallery is ready within 25 to 30 days. A teaser of 10 to 15 photos goes out within 3 to 5 days after the wedding. Full breakdown is on the Delivery Timeline page.

Usually 300 to 600 for a full wedding day. Depends on hours and package. We don't add filler photos to hit a number. Every photo we send is one we'd actually show someone.

Private online gallery link with full resolution downloads. Link is active for 12 months. Save everything before it expires, ideally to two places like Google Drive and a hard drive.

Not in the standard packages. The edited JPEGs are full resolution and print well at large sizes. If you specifically need RAW files, that can be arranged separately.

Mostly candid. We photograph what's actually happening rather than setting things up. For family portraits we give some direction, but we prefer to let moments happen on their own. Editing is warm and kept simple, no heavy filters or over-processed looks.

Mostly colour. We pick a few frames for black and white where the moment suits it, usually quieter emotional shots. If you have a strong preference either way, just tell us during planning.

We don't do skin lightening or body editing. We work with good light and keep the editing clean. The photos look like you, just on a really good day.

IMAIKHA started in 2016 with baby and family photography before moving into weddings full time. We've covered 75 plus weddings across Tamil Nadu and a few outside the state. Each one has taught us something.

Yes. Tamil Hindu weddings are what we know best but we've covered other South Indian traditions too and we're open to all kinds of celebrations. For ceremonies we haven't shot before, we research the rituals beforehand so nothing gets missed.

Yes, they're yours. Share them however you like for personal use. A tag at @imaikha.weddings on Instagram is always appreciated. Just don't remove watermarks or crop out credits if they're on the image.
